Happy Friday everyone!
This isn’t the newsletter you were expecting (look for that one next week in your inboxes) but I wanted to take a moment to thank you for taking time out of your busy life to read this newsletter and escape with us. It’s a daunting thing to release, basically, your polished diary to the world and your support has meant everything to me. Your comments, emails, and texts about what you were excited to learn, what you connected with and-best of all for me-how you were inspired are the reason I’ve kept this newsletter up; the reason I dedicated days abroad to clacking away in noisy hostel lounges.
With our travels having ended (for now at least) I’m considering where this newsletter goes next. I have some ideas swirling around but I want to hear what you want to read. What did you love? What did you skim over? What did you wish I wrote more about? What do you want to learn next? What do you want to feel? You’ve heard so much from me, I genuinely want to hear from you now. Please leave a comment, reply to this email, text me, send me a carrier pigeon with your thoughts.
My Big Newsletter that looks back on our trip (and also the infamous pirate Blackbeard) will come out next week so keep your eyes peeled for the chapter that feels much too final for me.
See you next week,
Amelia
I leave you today with some pictures of the cotton candy clouds of Ocracoke Island, one of our favorite places on earth and where we spent our anniversary this year.
Good morning Amelia! I really loved reading about your travels’s journey🌞
It awakened in me a desire to discover more cultures and places. I am particularly curious about your experience in Japan where you were able to immerse yourself in a very different culture, rituals and traditions.
To me that is the beauty of traveling and posing yourself somewhere for a while:-)
I loved to learn about history too ( sometimes a little lengthy for me🤪).
I would love to hear about planning such a great adventure through parts of the world 😉 Where to look for best flights and means of transportation, lodging, etc.
I love the way you write and what you share🙏
Keep it going please! It is so refreshing 💛
Hello Mimi, hope you and Grant are well. Enjoyed your newsletter, you write so well you should continue. Maybe write a novel :)
